Introduction

The Advanced Polling Booth System for Election Management is a Direct Recording Electronic voting system with a touch-screen voting buttons equipped with a wireless local area network . So this Advanced Polling Booth System For Election Management is fully secured because of bio-metric access. With this system, remote users can also vote using GSM technology with fully secured access using their Voter ID. If the user comes nearby area of voting machine without the permission from polling officer, it raises alarm with the help of PIR sensor. Election Results are completely secured and directly transferred to Polling office after the election is complete.

Inception of Bio-metric:

Bio-metric verification is any means by which a person can be uniquely identified by evaluating one or more distinguishing biological traits. Unique identifiers include fingerprints, hand geometry, earlobe geometry, retina and iris patterns, voice waves, DNA, and signatures. Still, the human fingerprint remains a very common identifier and the bio-metric method of choice among law enforcement.

Fingerprint scanners provide quick, easy, efficient and effective measures. They can be installed near a door for access. Fingerprint scanners are also multi-skilled in the function that they can serve. The most common use may be for access restriction; however, they have served as time clocks, personal data retrievers, and even to cut down on truancy in some schools. Since they have experienced so much success in these areas, businesses are expanding upon their use and they are getting more public exposure.
